About the Role

Publicis Groupe is seeking a Senior English Copywriter to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires a hands-on copywriter with a proven ability to develop conceptually driven campaigns and craft compelling English copy for global brands.

Role Overview

The Senior English Copywriter will be responsible for creating effective concepts and copy for advertising campaigns across various mediums. Working collaboratively within the creative team, this role involves managing projects from initial concept through to final execution. The position also includes overseeing and mentoring junior copywriters, engaging in client interactions, and presenting work persuasively. A strong understanding of agency environments and experience with global brands are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop compelling concepts and copy for advertising campaigns in English.
  • Collaborate with art directors and other creative team members to develop creative concepts and cohesive stories.
  • Write, proofread, and edit content, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Craft strategically sound creative for cross-channel initiatives.
  • Present work internally and to clients with credibility and clear reasoning.
  • Actively listen to feedback from clients and internal teams.
  • Conceptualize and write for a wide range of deliverables, including scripts, social media content, and more.
  • Research competitors and industry trends to provide insights and creative foresight.
  • Oversee and mentor junior copywriters.

Strategic Contribution and Execution

  • Proactively contribute actionable and thought-provoking ideas in partnership with creative leaders.
  • Manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Investigate industry best practices and explore new creative possibilities.
  • Participate in opportunity briefs and consistently stretch creative abilities.
  • Make conceptual and strategic decisions across diverse clients and industries.
  • Interpret brand tone of voice and language to deliver fresh ideas while maintaining brand consistency.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in concept creation.
  • Clear understanding of the difference between a communication concept and an exceptional idea.
  • Mastery in developing English copy for large cross-channel and/or direct-marketing initiatives across various media, both online and offline.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study.
  • Fluency in spoken Arabic is required.
  • Experience working in an agency environment is essential.
  • Understanding of the 1:1 marketing space and the power of data intelligence in achieving communication challenges.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh. The role involves close collaboration with creative teams and direct client interaction.
