About the Role

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is seeking a Senior Geospatial Advisor to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position offers a competitive salary and is integral to supporting the Saudi Arabian National Agenda through the development of national capability and industrial partnerships.

Role Overview

The Senior Geospatial Advisor will be responsible for the strategic direction and execution of geospatial initiatives within the organization. This role ensures the consistent, accurate, and efficient collection, management, analysis, and dissemination of geospatial data products. The individual will work autonomously, planning and organizing team activities to achieve organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement geospatial policies, procedures, and standards aligned with organizational goals.
  • Direct the work of geospatial teams to ensure high-quality delivery of products and services.
  • Collaborate with executives to identify and prioritize geospatial needs.
  • Oversee the acquisition, management, and dissemination of geospatial data.
  • Maintain awareness of current geospatial trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Ensure geospatial strategies and programs align with overall organizational objectives.
  • Develop and monitor the geospatial budget, ensuring compliance with financial and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Master’s degree in Geospatial Information or a related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or equivalent.
  • Certification in ISO geospatial data standards (*, ISO 19100, ISO 9001) or equivalent.
  • Geospatial Quality Assurance (QA/QC) certification from ASPRS or equivalent.
  • 5-10 years of extensive proven experience in geospatial management, including substantial leadership experience.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of geospatial applications across national security, defense, and intelligence sectors.
  • Conceptual and strategic analytical capacity for geospatial information systems and business operations.
  • Strong leadership and project management capabilities.
  • Excellent knowledge of geospatial data standards and policies, including NSG, ISO, IHO, DGWIG, NATO (STANG), OGC, W3C, SDO.
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and customers.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh. BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is committed to supporting national development initiatives, including Saudisation and the training of Saudi National capability.
