The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Health & Safety Engineer to join our organization in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time, senior-level position involves developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive health and safety programs. The role is critical for protecting our workforce, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, and fostering a strong safety culture while driving continuous improvement across operational areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and programs aligned with Saudi Arabia's labor regulations, OSHA standards, and ISO 45001 requirements.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and hazard analyses across all work areas, identifying potential dangers and recommending mitigation strategies.
• Design and deliver safety training programs to employees at all levels, ensuring understanding of safety protocols and best practices.
• Investigate workplace incidents and near-misses, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Manage safety audits and compliance inspections, documenting findings and developing action plans to address non-conformances.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of safety documentation, including safety data sheets, standard operating procedures, and emergency response plans.
• Collaborate with department heads and operational teams to integrate safety considerations into all business processes and projects.
• Monitor and analyze safety metrics and key performance indicators, preparing reports for senior management and recommending program enhancements.
• Stay current with evolving health and safety regulations and industry best practices, ensuring organizational compliance.
• Coordinate with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and safety consultants, as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in Health & Safety engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and manage comprehensive health and safety programs.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for conducting thorough risk assessments and incident investigations.
• In-depth knowledge of Saudi Arabia's labor regulations, OSHA standards, and ISO 45001 requirements.
• Proven experience in designing and delivering effective safety training programs.
