Senior Hospitality Operations Manager

About the Role

THA by Armonia is seeking a Senior Hospitality Operations Manager to lead hospitality services for a major international multi-sport event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time contract role is based on-site in Riyadh and runs from ASAP until the end of December 2026, covering readiness, event time, and dismantling phases. This is the most senior operational role within the Hospitality team, combining strategic planning and supplier management with a strong on-the-ground presence during the event.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement hospitality operational plans, including catering, uniforms, giveaways, and overall hospitality aesthetics.
• Create and execute contingency plans for service disruptions, schedule changes, and unexpected requirements.
• Supervise the design, procurement, installation, and readiness of Event Family Lounges, VIP areas, Protocol Lounges, and other hospitality facilities.
• Ensure all facilities meet accessibility requirements and provide appropriate guest amenities, such as prayer rooms and VIP facilities.
• Conduct inspections, testing, and operational checks to ensure all hospitality areas are fully prepared before the event.
• Ensure seamless hospitality services and guest journeys for all entitled stakeholder groups.
• Coordinate and monitor catering services, food quality, and service delivery across all designated areas.
• Supervise hospitality teams and front-of-house staff, ensuring proper deployment, training, and adherence to service standards.
• Oversee hospitality suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring timely delivery, quality control, and compliance with approved requirements.
• Liaise with the Organising Committee, Venue Management, Overlay, Security, and other functional areas.
• Oversee live hospitality operations, ensuring consistent service quality and immediate issue resolution.
• Prepare daily operational reports and monitor service performance.
• Supervise post-event dismantling, equipment removal, inventory reconciliation, and final hospitality reporting.

Required Experience and Skills

• 8-10 years of experience in hospitality operations, preferably within large-scale events.
• Demonstrated ability to lead hospitality services across event venues and athlete villages.
• Experience in planning and delivering catering, uniforms, giveaways, and overall hospitality aesthetics.
• Proven capability to ensure readiness of VIP areas, Event Family Lounges, and Protocol Lounges.
• Ability to deliver seamless experiences for VIPs, Event Family, athletes, officials, and media.
• Experience in leading hospitality teams, front-of-house staff, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with organising committees, venue management, overlay, and security teams.

Work Environment and Conditions

This is a full-time, exclusive contract role, requiring the candidate to be fully dedicated to the project for the entire contract period. The position is based on-site in Riyadh, KSA. Applicants must currently be residents in Saudi Arabia. Candidates are required to have their own laptop with the necessary software for the role.
