Senior iOS Engineer

About the Role

Emdad By Elm is seeking a Senior iOS Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Riyadh. This full-time role involves end-to-end ownership of iOS features, from design and implementation to maintenance and support. The Senior iOS Engineer will contribute to raising engineering quality through various technical practices and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver production-ready iOS features using readable and testable Swift code.
• Translate API contracts into reliable client models and networking flows.
• Maintain Core Data.
• Identify and resolve crashes and memory issues, including profiling and optimizing app memory usage.
• Harden applications with secure storage, authentication patterns, and recommended security practices.
• Maintain CI/CD automation, build signing, and multi-environment distribution using tools like Fastlane, App Store, and enterprise flows.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to convert designs into accessible UI using Autolayout.
• Conduct and participate in thorough peer code reviews and mentor teammates.
• Instrument applications for analytics and monitoring to inform product decisions.

Technical Focus

This position requires designing and implementing robust Swift applications, integrating with backend services, and selecting and maintaining persistence layers. The role also includes triaging and fixing production issues, as well as supporting build, signing, and distribution pipelines.

Quality Assurance and Mentorship

The Senior iOS Engineer will contribute to enhancing engineering quality through rigorous testing, comprehensive code reviews, automation initiatives, and mentoring junior team members.

Experience Required

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field.
