Senior Manager, Department of Professional Practice (DPP) Audit
KPMG Middle East is seeking a Senior Manager to join the Department of Professional Practice (DPP) Audit team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As one of the largest professional service providers in the Middle East, KPMG offers audit, tax, and advisory services, supported by an experienced leadership and a workforce of over 5,000 professionals. This full-time position is integral to maintaining and enhancing audit quality across the firm's operations.
The Role and its Focus
The successful candidate will serve as a technical leader within the Audit Methodology function of the Department of Professional Practice. This role focuses on the audit quality agenda, providing essential technical guidance, tools, and templates to audit engagement teams across the Middle East. The Senior Manager will support the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and digitally innovative solutions to clients, addressing complex auditing issues across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead responses to technical inquiries and consultations from engagement teams.
- Provide technical leadership on complex auditing matters for high-risk and public engagements relevant to diverse industries.
- Lead regional training programs and technical learning initiatives.
- Monitor new and updated standards, methodology, and related external and internally developed resources.
- Lead and support audit quality initiatives, collaborating with regional DPP teams on strategic projects.
- Represent KPMG Middle East in regional and global DPP working groups as appropriate.
- Contribute to regulatory readiness and inspection responses when required.
- Coach and mentor managers and junior DPP professionals, where relevant.
Candidate Qualifications
Candidates for this role should possess 5-10 years of relevant professional experience. The position requires a technically strong auditor who enjoys solving complex auditing issues, developing guidance, and collaborating with engagement teams across a wide range of industries. Experience from industry, the public sector, smaller firms, or other 'Big Four' organizations is valued.
