About the Role
Red Sea Global is seeking a Senior Manager - Logistics Systems to lead the strategy, design, implementation, and optimization of logistics systems across its supply chain and logistics network. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires over 10 years of experience. The role is instrumental in driving digital transformation initiatives within the logistics operations of Red Sea Coastal Trading Company, a subsidiary of Red Sea Global.
Role Purpose and Context
The Senior Manager – Logistics Systems & Technology is responsible for overseeing the company’s logistics digital transformation, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Freight Management Systems (FMS), Asset Management Systems (AMS), RFID, and Robotic Process Automation (RPA). This role ensures real-time visibility, efficiency, and optimization across all logistics functions, including warehousing, transportation, and international freight. The position is critical for aligning logistics operations with strategic goals, enhancing customer satisfaction, and ensuring cost-effective solutions. The Senior Manager acts as the primary owner of the logistics systems architecture, vendor strategy, and solution roadmap, ensuring seamless integration with SAP and other enterprise platforms.
Strategic Contributions
The Senior Manager will define and own the logistics systems strategy and roadmap, aligning with organizational supply chain, logistics, and digital transformation objectives. Key strategic contributions include:
- Leading enterprise-wide logistics systems initiatives, including WMS, TMS, FMS, AMS, RFID, and RPA.
- Establishing technology standards, system architecture, and integration principles for logistics platforms.
- Advising senior leadership on logistics systems capabilities, risks, investments, and transformation opportunities.
- Leading, mentoring, and developing the Logistics Systems & Technology team.
- Proactively identifying and mitigating logistics systems and operational risks.
- Ensuring logistics systems support high levels of customer satisfaction through on-time delivery, quality, and responsiveness.
Operational and Implementation Leadership
Operationally, the Senior Manager will lead the drafting of RFPs, RFIs, and technical specifications for logistics systems and automation technologies, managing vendor evaluations and solution selection. This includes overseeing vendor performance, SLAs, and ongoing system support. The role also involves leading end-to-end implementation of logistics systems, ensuring seamless integration with SAP and other enterprise platforms, and overseeing system testing, UAT, go-live, and stabilization activities. A critical aspect is ensuring logistics systems provide end-to-end, real-time visibility across all logistics operations.
Requirements Management and Continuous Improvement
This role requires leading the definition and governance of logistics systems business, functional, and technical requirements, translating operational needs into scalable system solutions. The Senior Manager will ensure solutions support standardization, automation, and operational excellence, and will support logistics asset infrastructure enablement, ensuring alignment between physical assets and system capabilities. Furthermore, the position involves defining and enforcing logistics systems policies, standards, and governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with enterprise IT and cybersecurity standards. The role also drives continuous improvement initiatives through system optimization, automation, and analytics, benchmarking against global best practices and identifying opportunities for cost optimization and service level enhancement.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of experience in logistics systems management and digital transformation. A strong understanding of WMS, TMS, FMS, AMS, RFID, and RPA is essential. Experience with SAP integration (MM, SD, FI) and other enterprise platforms is required. The role demands leadership experience, strategic planning capabilities, and a proven ability to manage complex implementation projects. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are necessary to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
