The Role of Senior Procurement Manager

The Senior Procurement Manager will contribute to a large luxury mixed-use development in Riyadh, where Mace is providing project management consultancy services. This position involves leading procurement activities and managing relationships to achieve commercial value and performance excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead category management and relationship development to deliver commercial value and performance.
• Provide leadership to teams, ensuring appropriate structures, tools, and responsibilities are in place to meet objectives.
• Conduct due diligence and market analysis to inform planning and decision-making processes.
• Develop and implement plans, embed processes, and monitor delivery through other team members.
• Drive performance management, talent development, and coaching, while influencing senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate towards net zero carbon transition goals and share responsibility for identifying and managing associated carbon emissions and reductions during work delivery.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Relevant degree or equivalent professional qualifications, including CIPS and industry certifications.
• Strong commercial acumen with expertise in high-value, complex tenders.
• Proven negotiation skills at executive and client levels.
• Solid construction and market knowledge, including main contractor experience.
• Effective communication skills with analytical capability and the ability to engage, influence, and build trusted stakeholder relationships.
• Ability to meet necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and possess relevant work experience on high-value projects/programmes for a project management consultancy business, as required for immigration and client approval.
