The Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Parsons is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves critical cost management and contractual oversight for construction projects, ensuring financial adherence and value for money throughout project lifecycles.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts for construction projects.
- Analyze project costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Monitor and control project expenditures to ensure adherence to budgets.
- Prepare tender documents, including bills of quantities, specifications, and contracts.
- Evaluate contractor bids and provide recommendations for award.
- Negotiate contracts and manage procurement processes to ensure value for money.
- Collaborate with the PMC team to ensure project milestones are met within budget and schedule.
- Provide cost-related insights and recommendations during project planning and execution.
- Assist in risk management and mitigation strategies related to project costs.
- Manage contracts and ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
- Monitor variations and claims, ensuring proper documentation and resolution.
- Prepare and submit progress reports, valuations, and final accounts.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and consultants to ensure smooth communication and project delivery.
- Provide regular updates on cost-related matters to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience in quantity surveying, with 5-10 years of professional experience.
- Exposure to Project Management Consultancy (PMC) and Commercial Services (CS) roles is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience working on large-scale construction projects.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Saudi Arabia.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will work within a collaborative team environment, engaging with various stakeholders including clients, contractors, and consultants to ensure project success and adherence to financial objectives.
