Senior SharePoint On Prem & Power BI Specialist

About the Role

Dar is seeking a Senior SharePoint On-Prem & Power BI Specialist to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves developing, administering, maintaining, and supporting the company's SharePoint Subscription Edition On-Premises environment and Power BI reporting solutions. The specialist will be responsible for ensuring robust SharePoint functionality and advanced Power BI development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain custom SharePoint solutions, including web parts, forms, dashboards, extensions, and user interfaces.
• Integrate SharePoint with databases, enterprise systems, document management systems, and external applications.
• Administer and maintain the SharePoint Subscription Edition On-Premises environment, managing farms, web applications, service applications, and site collections.
• Perform installation, configuration, patching, updates, and platform maintenance for SharePoint.
• Monitor system health, performance, availability, capacity, and storage, and manage SharePoint security, permissions, and access controls.
• Develop and maintain scripts to automate SharePoint administration and operational tasks, such as health checks, reporting, and user management.
• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards and reports, including executive, management, and operational solutions.
• Build data models and calculations, prepare and integrate data from various sources, and configure report security and access.
• Troubleshoot SharePoint, Power BI, IIS, Windows Server, and SQL Server issues, providing L2/L3 technical support and performing root cause analysis.
• Gather business requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and prepare comprehensive technical documentation and user guides.

Required Experience and Skills

• Over 10 years of experience in SharePoint development and administration.
• Strong experience in SharePoint Subscription Edition On-Premises environments.
• Proficiency in advanced Power BI development, including data modeling, report design, and data integration.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation of SharePoint tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues related to SharePoint, Power BI, and associated server technologies.
• Familiarity with SharePoint migrations, backup, restore, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities.
• Knowledge of SharePoint development, security, governance, and operational best practices.

Technical Expertise

• SharePoint development: web parts, forms, dashboards, extensions, user interfaces, lists, libraries, content types, metadata, permissions, search, and workflows.
• SharePoint administration: farm management, web applications, service applications, site collections, content databases, Central Administration, patching, monitoring, security, and access controls.
• Power BI: dashboard and report design, data modeling, calculations, data preparation, transformation, integration, report security, deployment, refresh, gateway connectivity, and data source connections.
• Automation: PowerShell scripting for administrative and operational tasks.
• Troubleshooting: SharePoint, IIS, Windows Server, SQL Server, authentication, permissions, search, workflow, and performance issues.

Documentation and Support

The specialist will be responsible for preparing technical documentation, configuration documents, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and user guides. This role also involves active participation in testing, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement initiatives, alongside providing support to business users and technical teams.
