Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a Senior Specialist - Data Protection Officer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is crucial for establishing and maintaining robust data protection frameworks within the organization. The role involves leading initiatives to safeguard personal data and ensuring strict adherence to all applicable data protection regulations.

Role Purpose

The Senior Specialist - Data Protection Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive data protection policies. This includes ensuring that all company operations comply with both local and international data privacy laws. The individual will play a key role in fostering a culture of data privacy and protection across all departments, working collaboratively to mitigate risks and protect personal information.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data protection strategies and policies in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Monitor adherence to data protection policies and conduct regular audits across the organization.
• Provide expert advice and guidance to management and staff on data protection obligations and best practices.
• Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for new projects and initiatives as required.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for data subjects and regulatory bodies regarding data protection inquiries and complaints.
• Design and deliver training and awareness programs for employees on data protection standards and practices.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to support the development and implementation of technical and organizational security measures for data protection.
• Maintain accurate records of data processing activities and ensure the upholding of data subject rights.
• Stay informed of changes in data protection laws and regulations, providing recommendations for necessary policy adjustments.

Required Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in data protection, privacy, or a related field. This experience should include practical application of data protection laws and regulations, policy development, and compliance monitoring.
