Role Overview

Ma'aden is seeking a Senior Specialist, Mineral & Resource Knowledge Research II to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role is central to driving outcomes within the Sustainability & Resource Growth division by executing specialized technical and research activities related to mineral and resource knowledge. The position supports Ma'aden’s Technology & Innovation strategy through data analysis, research, and operational insights, aiming to enhance resource understanding, optimize processes, and contribute to innovation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and analysis on mineral resources, geological/geophysical data, and processing characteristics.
  • Support the development and enhancement of resource knowledge frameworks and datasets.
  • Assist in evaluating mineral properties, material behavior, and resource potential.
  • Analyze operational and research data to identify opportunities for performance improvement.
  • Support the generation of technical insights and recommendations for exploration, processing, and development activities.
  • Contribute to data-driven decision-making across resource growth initiatives.
  • Support R&D initiatives, including pilot testing, experimentation, and research programs.
  • Assist in the development and testing of new methodologies, tools, and approaches for resource evaluation.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize resource utilization, recovery, and efficiency metrics.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across exploration, processing, and resource development workflows.
  • Maintain and manage resource-related datasets, documentation, and technical records, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Support the development of knowledge repositories, standards, and documentation practices.

Collaboration and Standards

  • Collaborate with geology, geophysics, mining, processing, and R&D teams to ensure integrated delivery of research outcomes.
  • Engage stakeholders to understand requirements and align research priorities.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing across teams and functions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards in all research and technical activities.
  • Support adherence to governance frameworks and regulatory requirements, identifying risks related to data, research methodologies, and technical activities.
  • Support the development of standard operating procedures, best practices, and technical guidelines.
  • Contribute to knowledge transfer and capability development across the organization, promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in mineral and resource knowledge research or a related technical field.
