Based in Riyadh, this full-time position is integral to the development of Saudi Arabia’s mining industry, supporting its role as the third pillar of the national economy.

Role Purpose and Impact

This role drives high-impact outcomes within Ma'aden's Sustainability & Resource Growth division by executing specialized technical and research activities focused on mineral and resource knowledge. The Senior Specialist supports the company’s Technology & Innovation strategy through comprehensive data analysis, research, and the generation of operational insights. This work contributes directly to enhanced resource understanding, optimization of processes, and the advancement of innovation initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research and analysis on mineral resources, including geological/geophysical data and processing characteristics.
• Support the development and enhancement of resource knowledge frameworks and datasets.
• Assist in evaluating mineral properties, material behavior, and resource potential.
• Analyze operational and research data to identify opportunities for performance improvement and generate technical insights for exploration, processing, and development activities.
• Contribute to R&D initiatives, including pilot testing, experimentation, and the development of new methodologies and tools for resource evaluation.
• Identify and support initiatives to optimize resource utilization, recovery, and efficiency metrics across exploration, processing, and resource development workflows.
• Manage and maintain resource-related datasets, documentation, and technical records, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and traceability.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards, supporting adherence to governance frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including geology, geophysics, mining, processing, and R&D, to ensure integrated delivery of research outcomes and facilitate knowledge sharing.
• Support the development of standard operating procedures, best practices, and technical guidelines, contributing to knowledge transfer and capability building within the organization.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Geoscience, Mining Engineering, Metallurgy, Data Science, or a closely related discipline is required.
• An advanced degree (Master’s) is considered an advantage.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in mineral resource analysis, research, or within mining/processing environments.
• Experience in data analysis, research support, and technical environments is preferred.
