Senior Structural Engineer

About the Role

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to oversee the erection and installation of steel structures for Overground metro stations in Riyadh. This full-time role involves ensuring structural integrity, quality, and compliance with international standards throughout the construction phase of platforms, concourses, foot overbridges, and roofing systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the erection and installation of steel structures for Overground metro stations, including platforms, concourses, foot overbridges, and roofing systems.
• Ensure all structural works adhere to approved drawings, specifications, and relevant codes (IS, IRC, Eurocode, etc.).
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to resolve technical issues on-site.
• Monitor construction progress, quality control, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Conduct regular site inspections and prepare detailed reports on structural works, including non-conformities and corrective actions.
• Review and verify shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals related to steel structures.
• Liaise with design teams to address site-related design modifications or clarifications.
• Ensure proper documentation of inspections, approvals, and quality records.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on steel structures.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise construction activities and ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
• Strong understanding of international structural codes and standards (IS, IRC, Eurocode, etc.).
• Excellent communication and coordination skills for effective collaboration with various stakeholders.
• Proficiency in preparing detailed reports and managing project documentation.

Work Environment and Location

This full-time position is based in Riyadh, where the successful candidate will be actively involved in on-site supervision of metro station construction projects.
