Shift Technician (HVAC)

About the Role

Marriott Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Shift Technician (HVAC) to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves the inspection, repair, and maintenance of HVAC, air quality control, and refrigeration equipment, ensuring optimal property temperature and efficient energy usage. The role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain HVAC, air quality control, and refrigeration equipment.
• Conduct daily inspections and maintenance of the mechanical plant.
• Monitor and control property temperature, and analyze energy and utilities usage.
• Calibrate all controls, gauges, meters, and other relevant equipment.
• Assemble, install, test, repair, and maintain electrical systems or electronic wiring.
• Assemble, install, and maintain pipe assemblies, fittings, and valves.
• Perform routine pool and spa maintenance.
• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, reporting maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards and address service needs.
• Communicate professionally with others and maintain positive working relationships.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards, and recommend improvements for organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings.

Physical Requirements

The role involves physical demands including reaching overhead and below the knees, moving in confined or elevated spaces, and navigating sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces. It also requires moving up and down stairs, service ramps, and ladders. Candidates must be able to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, and assist with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing objects weighing in excess of 100 pounds. The ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance is also required.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in HVAC, air quality control, refrigeration equipment maintenance, or a related field.
• Ability to complete safety training and certifications.
• Proficiency in maintaining electrical systems, electronic wiring, and pipe assemblies.
• Strong understanding of energy and utilities usage monitoring and analysis.
