About the Role

Saudi Services For Electro Mechanic Works Co. SSEM is seeking an experienced Site Civil Engineer to manage and coordinate civil construction activities at project sites in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires a professional with strong site execution experience and comprehensive knowledge of civil works, particularly within SEC projects. The successful candidate will ensure civil works are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and SEC requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily civil construction activities on site.
• Coordinate civil works for SEC substations, transmission/distribution facilities, utility infrastructure, and associated projects.
• Review IFC drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements prior to execution.
• Ensure construction activities adhere to approved drawings, specifications, applicable standards, and SEC requirements.
• Coordinate with project managers, construction managers, electrical engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and SEC representatives.
• Monitor site progress to ensure civil activities are completed according to the approved project schedule.
• Oversee activities including excavation, backfilling, foundations, reinforced concrete works, equipment foundations, cable trenches, duct banks, manholes, underground utilities, roads, paving, hardstanding areas, boundary walls, fencing, drainage systems, structural and architectural civil works, and earthing-related civil works.
• Conduct site inspections and verify construction performance against approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with QA/QC personnel for inspections, testing, and approval of civil works.
• Prepare and review RFIs, MIRs, WIRs, method statements, inspection requests, and other project documentation.
• Monitor subcontractors to ensure adequate manpower, materials, equipment, and resources are available.
• Identify site issues, technical discrepancies, and construction constraints, and coordinate appropriate solutions.
• Maintain daily site reports, progress records, and relevant construction documentation.
• Support quantity verification, measurement, and preparation of progress claims as required.
• Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements and participate in site safety meetings and inspections.
• Attend coordination meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams.
• Ensure proper closeout of civil works, including punch-list clearance, as-built drawings, testing documentation, and handover requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in civil engineering roles.
• Proven experience working on Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) projects is strongly preferred.
• Relevant experience should include SEC Substation Projects, Transmission Substation Projects, Distribution Substation Projects, and facilities related to 380kV, 230kV, 132kV, 115kV, 69kV, 33kV, or ****
• Experience with underground cable and duct-bank works, substation civil and structural works, equipment foundations, cable trenches, control/building foundations, access roads, drainage, fencing, site development, and utility infrastructure associated with SEC projects.
