About the Role

AWS EMEA SARL (Saudi Arabia Branch) is seeking a Solutions Architect to work with Enterprise and Strategic customers in central Saudi Arabia, based in Riyadh. This full-time role is central to AWS's growth strategy in the Kingdom, which is one of the fastest-growing cloud markets in the Middle East, driven by Vision 2030 and national digital transformation programs across various sectors.

Role Overview

The Solutions Architect serves as a key technical advisor for a portfolio of enterprise customers. This involves assisting them in modernizing legacy platforms, adopting AI and cloud-native architectures, and accelerating their digital agendas. The role requires strategic thinking about business, products, and technical challenges, operating at the intersection of technology and business.

Key Responsibilities

• Support long-term customer success, satisfaction, and trust through the adoption of AWS services and well-architected solutions, in partnership with Account Managers and Business Development.
• Serve as a technical advisor for enterprise customers in the Riyadh and central Saudi Arabia region, building relationships with stakeholders and contributing to their technology strategy.
• Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS and participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful cloud deployment, including competitive migration paths.
• Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many enablement sessions to transfer knowledge to customers using or considering AWS (*, Dev Days, Immersion Days, Workshops, and GameDays).
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge within the AWS Solutions Architect community; contribute to customer-facing publications such as white papers, blog posts, and reference architectures.
• Act as a technical liaison between customers, AWS Service Teams, and Support, gathering product feedback, driving feature requests, and collaborating with fellow Solutions Architects in the region.

Daily Activities

A typical day involves reviewing architecture proposals for enterprise customers, participating in technical sessions with engineering teams to design application platforms, and advising on the appropriate mix of compute, AI/ML, and data services. The role also includes collaborating with account teams on strategy calls, supporting workshops or Immersion Days for developers, and contributing to internal knowledge sharing. The focus remains on being a trusted technical partner for customers, directly driving their success on AWS.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in a relevant technical role.
• Broad technical competence across multiple areas, including Generative AI, Agentic AI, cloud infrastructure, security, DevOps, databases, application development, and data analytics.
• Demonstrated depth in at least 1-2 of the aforementioned technical areas.
• Ability to connect technology solutions with measurable business value for customers.
• Experience interacting with various customer stakeholders, including Directors, Architects, Developers, and Engineers.
