About the Role

AWS EMEA SARL (Saudi Arabia Branch) is seeking a Solutions Architect to work with Enterprise and Strategic customers in central Saudi Arabia, based in Riyadh. This full-time role requires over 10 years of experience and is central to AWS's growth strategy in the Kingdom, supporting the rapidly expanding cloud market driven by Vision 2030 and national digital transformation programs.

Role Responsibilities

The Solutions Architect will serve as a key technical advisor for a portfolio of enterprise customers, assisting them in modernizing legacy platforms, adopting AI and cloud-native architectures, and accelerating their digital agendas. This involves engaging with customers to understand business drivers, assess application portfolios, and design reliable, cost-effective cloud-native architectures.

• Support long-term customer success, satisfaction, and trust through the adoption of AWS services and well-architected solutions, in partnership with Account Managers and Business Development.
• Act as a technical advisor for enterprise customers in Riyadh and central Saudi Arabia, building relationships with stakeholders and contributing to their technology strategy.
• Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS and participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful cloud deployment, including competitive migration paths.
• Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many enablement sessions (*, Dev Days, Immersion Days, Workshops, GameDays) to transfer knowledge to customers using or considering AWS.
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge within the AWS Solutions Architect community and contribute to customer-facing publications such as white papers, blog posts, and reference architectures.
• Act as a technical liaison between customers, AWS Service Teams, and Support, gathering product feedback, driving feature requests, and collaborating with fellow Solutions Architects.

A Day in the Life of a Solutions Architect

A typical day involves significant customer interaction. This may include reviewing architecture proposals for cloud migrations, joining technical sessions to design application platforms with engineering teams, and advising on compute, AI/ML, and data services. Collaboration with Account Managers and account teams on strategy calls for competitive opportunities is also common. Additionally, the role involves supporting workshops or Immersion Days for developers, focusing on topics like Amazon Bedrock, GenAI application patterns, or container modernization with EKS. Time is also dedicated to capturing product feedback, contributing to blog posts, and reviewing architectures with teammates, alongside internal syncs and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Required Qualifications

• Over 10 years of experience in a relevant technical role.
• Broad technical competence across areas such as Generative AI, Agentic AI, cloud infrastructure, security, DevOps, databases, application development, and data analytics.
• Demonstrated depth in at least 1–2 of the aforementioned technical areas.
• Ability to connect technology with measurable business value for customers.
• Experience interacting with multiple customer stakeholders, including Directors, Architects, Developers, and Engineers.
