About Vision Horizons Medical (VHM) and the Role
Vision Horizons Medical (VHM) is seeking a dedicated Sonographer to join our medical team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is open to professionals with 0-1 years of experience, offering an opportunity to contribute to patient care through diagnostic imaging.
Role Overview
The Sonographer will be responsible for performing various ultrasound procedures, providing crucial support to physicians in the accurate diagnosis and effective treatment of diseases. This role requires a strong commitment to technical precision, patient comfort, and adherence to established medical protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Explain ultrasound procedures to patients, address their questions, and provide support throughout the examination.
- Program and adjust ultrasound scanners according to specific procedure requirements, ensuring comprehensive image capture from all necessary angles and sections.
- Select and capture appropriate still images (sonograms) for diagnostic review by physicians.
- Evaluate image quality and provide preliminary interpretations to assist physicians in disease diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Present captured images and preliminary findings directly to physicians.
- Maintain accurate patient records and medical notes related to all ultrasound procedures performed.
- Ensure the proper maintenance of ultrasound equipment and sterilize procedure rooms before and after use.
- Address technical questions and inquiries, and prepare regular performance reports as required.
- Coordinate efficiently and accurately with a multi-disciplinary healthcare team.
Professional Standards and Compliance
- Maintain the integrity and privacy of all patient information, strictly adhering to confidentiality policies.
- Adhere to Vision Horizons Medical’s policies, procedures, and objectives, including ongoing quality improvement goals, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
- Comply with internationally recognized Joint Commission International (JCI) guidelines and local CBAHI credentialing requirements.
- Commit to scheduled duty hours, typically 8 consecutive hours.
- Report any emergencies, sickness, or absences immediately to the Radiology Administration.
