About the Role

DallahHealth is seeking a Radiology Technician Home Care to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves providing high-standard radiological procedures to patients in a home care setting. The role requires performing technical procedures without direct supervision, utilizing independent judgment and initiative to obtain prescribed radiological studies. The technician will assume responsibility for designated areas or procedures as scheduled by supervisory staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Select and operate appropriate equipment for each examination.
  • Position patients accurately according to the examinations requested.
  • Select appropriate technical factors for each patient to produce images of acceptable quality.
  • Administer oral, rectal, and parenteral contrast media, including intravenous contrast media, under the direction and supervision of a radiologist.
  • Assist in the emergency treatment of patients.
  • Participate in patient and family education to help them understand and engage in their care, enabling well-informed decisions.

Operational Standards and Compliance

  • Ensure all work is performed based on approved policies, processes, procedures, and instructions.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices, considering leading practices, cost reduction, and productivity improvement.
  • Ensure day-to-day activities are properly performed in line with established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain examination rooms in a state of cleanliness and readiness at all times.
  • Report all equipment malfunctions to the Chief Technician or designee.
  • Use suitable working practices to ensure compliance with all radiation protection and safety regulations.
  • Observe all infection control standards laid down in policy documents, particularly concerning sterile procedures.
  • Implement and coordinate policies and procedures to achieve the hospital’s goals and objectives in pursuit of Standards of Care and Quality/Performance Improvement.
  • Maintain a correct attitude of professional conduct and conform to all normal ethical relationships.

Ultrasound Specific Duties

  • Perform ultrasound procedures at a technical level in close coordination with radiologists.
  • Assist the Radiologist during ultrasound examinations.
  • Clean ultrasound gel from the patient's body after examination and ensure portable X-ray machines are clean.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant radiology technician role.
