The Role of Sponsorship Strategy Consultant

Elevate is seeking an experienced Sponsorship Strategy Consultant to join the team on a contract basis. This role involves supporting a diverse range of client engagements throughout the GCC and wider MENA region. The consultant will apply deep expertise in sponsorship strategy and brand partnerships, demonstrating a clear understanding of how sponsorship drives meaningful business and marketing outcomes for brands. The position requires operating effectively at both strategic and practical levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead or support the development of sponsorship and partnership strategies for clients, aligning with broader brand and business objectives.
• Provide expert advice to clients on sponsorship investment, including the assessment of properties, platforms, rights holders, audiences, and partnership opportunities.
• Leverage brand marketing strategy knowledge to demonstrate how sponsorship can enhance brand awareness, consideration, engagement, reputation, and commercial impact.
• Formulate sponsorship strategies, frameworks, and investment approaches, delivering clear recommendations and rationale to senior client stakeholders.
• Evaluate potential sponsorship opportunities against defined strategic criteria such as brand fit, audience alignment, geographic relevance, strategic value, and commercial potential.
• Contribute to the development of partnership propositions and activation strategies, ensuring sponsorship rights translate into meaningful experiences and brand value.
• Create strategic recommendations and implementation roadmaps, guiding clients from high-level direction to practical activation priorities.
• Establish appropriate KPIs, measurement frameworks, and methodologies for evaluating sponsorship effectiveness and ROI.
• Integrate relevant market intelligence and benchmarks into client engagements, including insights on emerging trends, competitive activity, and consumer behavior.
• Collaborate with internal Elevate teams across various disciplines, including strategy, partnerships, activation, creative, and commercial, to develop integrated client solutions.
• Present recommendations and strategic insights to senior client stakeholders with confidence, simplifying complex issues and building compelling cases for investment.
• Support business development and pitch activities by contributing sponsorship expertise, strategic thinking, and relevant market perspectives as required.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in applying brand marketing and commercial strategy to enhance sponsorship effectiveness and measurable business impact.
• A comprehensive understanding of the global sponsorship and partnership ecosystem, with particularly strong knowledge of the GCC and wider MENA market.
• A proven track record of leading or supporting sponsorship strategy development projects for major brands, from initial strategic direction through to implementation planning and performance measurement.
• Experience collaborating with a diverse range of rights holders, brands, agencies, and commercial partners, coupled with an understanding of varied perspectives within the sponsorship ecosystem.
• Strong knowledge of the GCC sports, entertainment, cultural, and/or experiential sponsorship landscape, including key properties, rights holders, and market dynamics.
• Ability to integrate strategic thinking with commercial pragmatism, ensuring recommendations are both compelling and realistic for implementation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the capacity to assess complex information and translate it into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in creating and presenting high-quality strategic deliverables to senior stakeholders.
• Comfortable working autonomously on a freelance basis while effectively integrating into a broader consulting team and adapting quickly to diverse client requirements.
• A strong professional network across the MENA sponsorship and partnership ecosystem is highly advantageous.

Work Arrangement and Location

This is a contract position, operating on a freelance basis. The role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, supporting clients across the GCC and MENA regions. Salary for this position will be not disclosed.
