Sports Psychologist

About the Role

Team Saudi is seeking a Sports Psychologist to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on delivering sport psychology services to enhance athletes’ mental skills, resilience, and performance consistency within Team Saudi’s Olympic and emerging sports programs. The Sports Psychologist will provide direct psychological support to athletes and coaches, implement mental skills training, and contribute to wellbeing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one and group sessions focused on mental skills such as confidence, focus, coping strategies, and pre-competition routines.
• Support athletes in managing performance anxiety and maintaining composure under pressure.
• Assist in psychological profiling and readiness assessments as part of athlete development plans.
• Work closely with coaches and support staff to integrate psychological principles into training environments.
• Provide practical advice on athlete motivation, behavior, and psychological readiness.
• Contribute to mental health screening and referral processes in collaboration with clinical professionals.
• Promote athlete wellbeing through proactive education and support initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records of interventions and athlete progress.
• Provide feedback and insights to the Senior Manager to inform program development.
• Ensure compliance with ethical standards and safeguarding policies.

Required Experience

Candidates should possess 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field.
