Enova by Veolia is seeking a Sr. HVAC Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to overseeing the operation, maintenance, and optimization of HVAC systems within facilities, ensuring reliability, energy efficiency, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Role Overview

The Sr. HVAC Engineer plays a critical part in managing technical teams, driving preventive and corrective maintenance strategies, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across various assets. The role focuses on maintaining high operational standards and optimizing system performance to minimize downtime and extend asset lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance for HVAC systems, including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, cooling towers, ventilation, and control systems.
• Supervise and guide maintenance teams, subcontractors, and service providers to meet performance and Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements.
• Diagnose complex HVAC issues and implement effective technical solutions in a timely manner.
• Monitor system performance through Building Management Systems (BMS) and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), recommending improvements for energy efficiency and cost optimization.
• Prepare maintenance plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and condition assessments of HVAC systems.
• Support project teams in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new HVAC systems or upgrades.
• Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and asset records.
• Manage spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components.
• Provide technical training and mentorship to team members.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure service excellence and satisfaction.

Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) Compliance

The Sr. HVAC Engineer is responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards and regulatory requirements. This role requires active commitment and accountability to Enova’s HSEQ policy, operating procedures, and local legislation. Employees are expected to seek clarification and guidance whenever necessary to uphold these standards.

Candidate Profile and Experience

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in the operation, maintenance, and optimization of HVAC systems. The role requires strong technical diagnostic skills, leadership capabilities for managing maintenance teams, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement. The ability to develop proactive working relationships with authorities and assist in establishing areas for service improvement is also essential.
