Staff Physician Plastic Surgery

About the Role

The Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs (MNGHA) is seeking a Staff Physician in Plastic Surgery to join its team in Riyadh. This is a full-time position for professionals with 0-1 years of experience, operating within the framework of the Medical Staff Bylaws.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality surgical care consistent with established experience and approved privileges within the operating room.
• Maintain presence and productivity during normal working hours and be available for contact while in the city.
• Operate under the supervision of the Section Head, Division of Plastic Surgery, or their designee.
• Assume primary care responsibility as defined by the supervisor, who may also manage aspects of cases as needed.
• Perform specific duties within the division with restricted responsibilities as assigned.
• Contribute to the instruction and education of residents.
• Attend and participate in division meetings, rounds, and educational programs.
• Participate in Department of Surgery meetings and the ongoing quality management program.
• Ensure attendance at collective division activities is not less than 75 percent.
• Meet the CME requirements for Saudi specialization.
• Secure approval of proper Travel Request Authorization (TRA) from the Chairman before taking leave.
• Foster a spirit of teamwork within the Division of Plastic Surgery.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Supervision and Authority

The Staff Physician will work under the direct supervision of the Section Head, Division of Plastic Surgery, or an appointed designee. While primary care responsibilities are granted as defined by the supervisor, the Staff Physician does not admit patients in their own name. The supervisor retains the authority to oversee and intervene in case management as necessary.

Professional Development and Engagement

This role involves active participation in the educational and quality improvement initiatives of the division and department. The Staff Physician is expected to engage in resident instruction, attend regular meetings and rounds, and contribute to the continuous quality management program. Adherence to CME requirements and attendance at divisional activities are essential components of this position.

Work Environment

The Staff Physician will work within a collaborative team environment in the Division of Plastic Surgery at MNGHA in Riyadh. Maintaining a spirit of teamwork and professional conduct is expected.
