About the Store Associate Role

alfanar is seeking a Store Associate to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position is suitable for individuals with 0-1 years of experience, offering an opportunity to develop foundational skills in storekeeping and inventory management.

Core Responsibilities

The Store Associate will be responsible for performing essential storekeeping activities. This includes the proper receipt, storage, issuance, and meticulous record-keeping of materials, tools, and equipment in strict adherence to company procedures. The role is critical in supporting operational requirements by maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring a smooth flow of materials within the store.

Key Accountability Areas

  • Material Receiving: Verify quantities and quality of delivered materials against purchase orders and delivery notes. Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies, reporting any issues to the supervisor, and ensure proper documentation for all received items.
  • Storage and Inventory Management: Store materials in designated areas following storage guidelines and safety procedures. Maintain accurate stock records within ERP systems, such as SAP, and assist in conducting periodic physical stock counts and reconciling differences.
  • Material Issuance: Issue materials based on approved requests or job orders. Record all material issuances promptly and accurately in the system, and ensure proper handling and packaging of items for issuance or transfer.
  • Housekeeping and Safety: Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of storage areas. Adhere to all safety protocols to prevent accidents and damage to materials, and report any unsafe conditions or practices to the supervisor.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain up-to-date records of all material transactions. Prepare daily or periodic reports on stock movement and availability, and support audit processes by providing necessary records and documentation.
  • Coordination and Support: Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and maintenance teams to ensure the timely supply of materials. Support loading and unloading activities as required.

Role Requirements and Competencies

Candidates should possess a Diploma Degree in Business Administration or any relevant field. While no prior experience is strictly required (0-2 years accepted), a foundational understanding of warehouse operations, warehouse security, and effective oral/written communication is beneficial. The ability to manage work orders and a commitment to continuous learning of soft and technical skills related to the job are also important.

Performance and Compliance

Successful candidates will be expected to perform planned activities to meet operational targets and delivery schedules, utilizing resources efficiently. Problem-solving skills are essential to address related issues, with the ability to escalate complex operational challenges. Adherence to quality requirements, business process improvements, compliance with policies and procedures, and maintaining health, safety, and environmental standards within the work area are critical aspects of this role.
