About the Role

AvePoint is seeking a Strategic Consultant to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is central to delivering AvePoint's solutions and services to clients, acting as a key technical consultant and architect. The position focuses on evaluating, managing, and executing projects that aim to accelerate customer adoption of their Microsoft investments, ensuring successful implementation and value realization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical lead and consultant for service delivery engagements, including the management, migration, and protection of Microsoft 365 and SharePoint environments through the implementation of AvePoint tools and solutions.
  • Architect, configure, and deploy enterprise-level implementations for the AvePoint product line and the Microsoft technology stack, including next-generation offerings.
  • Provide expert guidance on AvePoint and associated Cloud technologies.
  • Deliver training sessions to customers via web-based conferences or on-site.
  • Implement proposed technical strategies and solutions to address customer business needs.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and product management and development teams.
  • Compile comprehensive technical documentation for projects, implementations, and service deliverables.
  • Effectively set client expectations and manage deliverables.
  • Provide on-the-ground technical support, product demonstrations, and solution consultation.
  • Propose and design technical solutions, including creating prototypes and proofs of concept to support product selection.
  • Validate AvePoint product readiness against technical and business requirements.
  • Undertake various technical projects for internal AvePoint purposes.
  • Advance internal Quality Assurance and Scenario testing using virtualized infrastructures and technologies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in architectural design and development, with a focus on planning, deploying, or supporting enterprise-level Microsoft 365 and Azure applications.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft 365, Azure, and SharePoint services architecture, components, and configuration differences across all versions.
  • Experience in managing and executing projects such as digital transformation, change management, system migrations, consolidation, and deployment.
  • Demonstrated experience with programming constructs, business logic development, information architecture, and taxonomy strategies supporting web services in a SharePoint/.NET environment.
  • Expertise in leading workshops covering IT governance and information governance & compliance strategy topics for enterprise-level SharePoint implementations.
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, SMTP, and related technologies.
  • Understanding of IT governance and compliance standards such as ITIL and COBIT.
  • Working technical knowledge of current software protocols and Internet standards.
  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to set and meet deadlines on multiple projects without frequent supervision.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with exceptional customer service abilities, including professional interaction with a diverse client base.
  • Excellent technical writing skills with a proven track record of composing guides, testing documents, technical outlines, and schematics.
  • Arabic language proficiency is required.

  • Monitor and manage the Management Contractor's procurement activities, programs, and package awards, ensuring strict adherence to Schedule 28 procurement procedures and all project governance requirements.
  • Manage and coordinate a commercial team of approximately 20 individuals, including Commercial Leads and wider commercial staff, providing leadership, direction, and mentorship.
  • Collaborate with Design Management teams to ensure the timely release of Information for Tender (IFT) in accordance with approved design release schedules.
  • Oversee supply chain engagement processes, including Expressions of Interest (EOIs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs), market sounding, contractor assessments, interviews, and site visits.
  • Identify, assess, and prequalify suitable contractors and specialist subcontractors for up to 75 diverse procurement packages.
  • Lead detailed commercial tender evaluations, manage tender clarification meetings, and conduct commercial negotiations, reviewing submissions, contractual qualifications, deviations, and commercial risks.
  • Prepare comprehensive tender reports, governance papers, and executive presentations for internal approvals.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (Hons) in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a closely related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive commercial and procurement experience on major construction, infrastructure, or giga-projects.
  • Significant experience within Management Contracting and FIDIC-based procurement environments.
  • Strong experience in procurement governance, tendering processes, subcontractor selection, commercial negotiations, contract administration, and claims management.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage large, multi-disciplinary commercial teams across numerous concurrent packages in a fast-paced project environment.
