Supervisor Housekeeping

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves overseeing housekeeping operations to ensure quality standards are met across guest rooms and public areas. The role requires 0-1 years of experience and focuses on maintaining a high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and the pool after cleaning to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Manage sold room reports, verify room status, identify discrepancies, prioritize cleaning schedules, and update the status of departing guest rooms.
• Support Housekeeping management in daily operational activities and coordinate efforts between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry.
• Document and resolve issues related to discrepant rooms with the Front Desk.
• Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes in room assignments, and relay issues to the next shift.
• Complete all required paperwork and assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Adhere to all company and safety and security policies and procedures, report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, and complete necessary safety training and certifications.
• Ensure a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Communicate professionally and clearly, develop positive working relationships, and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 55 pounds without assistance, and over 55 pounds with assistance.
• Capability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related machinery over sloping and uneven surfaces.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods across an entire work shift.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

Qualifications and Skills

• 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Proficiency in entering and locating work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems.
• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats, including small print.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with guests and colleagues.

Work Environment

This role is based in Riyadh and operates within a dynamic hotel environment, requiring close collaboration with various departments to ensure seamless guest services and operational efficiency.
