Supervisor Housekeeping

About the Role

Marriott Executive Apartments is seeking a Supervisor Housekeeping to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves overseeing the quality of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring adherence to established standards, and supporting the daily operations of the Housekeeping department.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and the pool after cleaning to ensure quality standards are met.
• Run sold room reports, verify room status, identify discrepant rooms, prioritize cleaning, and update the status of departing guest rooms.
• Assist Housekeeping management with daily activities and act as a liaison to coordinate efforts between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry.
• Document and resolve issues related to discrepant rooms with the Front Desk.
• Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes in room assignments.
• Communicate relevant issues to the next shift and complete required paperwork.
• Support management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees.
• Ensure compliance with all company, safety, and security policies and procedures; report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; and complete safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, ensure confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guest service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with others, develop and maintain positive working relationships, and respond appropriately to employee concerns.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 55 pounds without assistance, and over 55 pounds with assistance.
• Capability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related machinery over sloping and uneven surfaces.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods across an entire work shift.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience required: 0-1 year in a relevant field.
• Ability to enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point-of-sale systems.
• Proficiency in reading and visually verifying information in various formats (*, small print).
