Supervisor Housekeeping

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Supervisor-Housekeeping to join their team in Makkah. This full-time position involves overseeing housekeeping operations to ensure quality standards and guest satisfaction. The role requires a professional who can manage daily activities, coordinate with various departments, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and service.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and facilities such as the pool after cleaning to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Manage room status reports, verify discrepancies, prioritize cleaning schedules, and update the status of departing guest rooms.
• Support Housekeeping management in daily operational tasks and act as a liaison between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry.
• Document and resolve issues related to discrepant rooms in coordination with the Front Desk.
• Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes in room assignments to relevant staff.
• Communicate operational issues effectively to the next shift and complete all required paperwork.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees.
• Ensure compliance with all company, safety, and security policies and procedures, reporting any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Maintain a professional appearance and uniform, ensure confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Communicate professionally with colleagues and maintain positive working relationships, listening and responding appropriately to concerns.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards across all tasks.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 55 pounds without assistance, and over 55 pounds with assistance.
• Capability to push and pull loaded housekeeping carts and other work-related machinery over various surfaces.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods throughout a work shift.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems.
• Read and visually verify information in various formats.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: High school diploma or *** equivalent is required.
• Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
