Supervisor Housekeeping

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Supervisor Housekeeping to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves overseeing housekeeping operations to ensure compliance with quality standards and supporting daily departmental activities. The role requires coordination with various hotel departments and a focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Control rooms, public areas, and the swimming pool after housekeeping attendant service to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Report on rented rooms, check room status, identify unsuitable rooms, prioritize cleaning, and update the status of departing guest rooms.
• Assist housekeeping management in overseeing daily operations and activities.
• Liaise and coordinate efforts with housekeeping, engineering, reception, and laundry departments.
• Document and resolve issues related to unsuitable rooms in coordination with reception.
• Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes in assignment sheets and schedules.
• Report unresolved issues to the subsequent team for follow-up.
• Perform necessary administrative tasks.
• Support management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, enforcing disciplinary rules, motivating, and coaching employees.

• Complete required safety training and obtain necessary certifications.

• Move at the required speed to respond to work situations, including running, walking, and jogging.
• Read and visually verify information in various formats, including small print.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machinery to identify defects.
• Enter and retrieve work-related information using computers and point-of-sale systems.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of different sizes and weights, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Navigate narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, as well as sloped, uneven, or slippery surfaces and steps.
• Ascend and descend stairs and service ramps.
• Demonstrate continuous use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills, with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and excellent motor skills.
• Move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 55 pounds (25 kg) without assistance, and over 55 pounds (25 kg) with assistance.
• Push and pull loaded housekeeping carts and other work equipment on sloped and uneven surfaces.
• Stand, kneel, sit, or walk for prolonged periods or at a high frequency for a full shift.
• Listen and respond appropriately to concerns from guests and other employees using clear and courteous language.
• Perform all other tasks as requested by managers and corresponding to the position.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
