About the Role

Charles River Development, a part of State Street, is expanding its established Implementation Services Team and is seeking a Technical Consultant. Based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this full-time role is central to the implementation of the Charles River Investment Management System (CR IMS) for large institutional clients, including those utilizing the State Street Alpha platform. The consultant will become a product expert, manage client demands, and operate both administratively and hands-on. Comprehensive training will be provided over five weeks at the London office. The role involves extensive travel, potentially up to five days per week, to client sites within the EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage implementation projects from a Charles River Development perspective.
• Interpret workflow analysis documents and convert them into specifications for CR IMS configuration, ensuring best practice delivery.
• Provide ongoing communication and evaluation of project status to clients and the Charles River Project Manager.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during implementation projects.
• Execute daily project plan steps.
• Ensure client needs are understood and documented.
• Provide proactive leadership in client utilization of Charles River Development products and services.
• Facilitate conference calls and meetings with other consultants and product experts.
• Communicate pertinent information regarding upgrades and major releases.
• Manage training and consulting resource requests.
• Monitor and assist with the issue escalation process.
• Respond to additional product requests.
• Coordinate work undertaken by Charles River Development representatives in other locations for implementation.
• Maintain general awareness of industry changes and trends.

Required Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess a blend of asset management/business knowledge, business analysis, project experience, relationship management, and implementation expertise. Key requirements include:

• Extensive experience in a similar role implementing financial systems.
• Strong Front Office experience, including order management and interaction with Fund Managers/Traders.
• Applications experience with Charles River Investment Management System or an equivalent competitor system.
• Superior client-facing skills.
• Experience dealing with users or clients from either a technical or business area.
• Comfort in making presentations covering business, technical, or sales topics.
• Experience managing or coordinating projects and a demonstrable understanding of the project lifecycle.

Technical and Industry Knowledge

Candidates should demonstrate good Investment Management and market instrument knowledge, covering:

• Front Office workflows
• Fixed Income/derivatives
• Equity
• Compliance
• IBOR
• PMA
• Ex-Ante and Ex-Post Risk
• Scenario Analysis

Some technical knowledge, ideally SQL, is also required. A specific previous area of focus such as Risk systems, IBOR, or Scenario Analysis is desirable.

Education and Desired Qualifications

• University degree, ideally in a Finance or Technology discipline.
• Fluency in a second European Language is highly desirable.
