The Role of Technical Support Engineer

We are seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves providing cross-system technical support across various project phases, including design, vendor coordination, installation, integration, testing, commissioning, and ensuring technical compliance. The role requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for the complete ELV/ICT scope and coordinate issues spanning multiple systems.
• Review vendor technical submittals, datasheets, compliance statements, system architectures, equipment schedules, and technical deviations.
• Examine shop drawings, risers, schematics, rack layouts, cable schedules, interface diagrams, and testing documents, rectifying any comments.
• Support the preparation and closure of RCS Comments, technical clarifications, consultant comments, and engineering action items.
• Troubleshoot field problems related to devices, controllers, power supplies, cabling, fiber, network connectivity, software configuration, and system interfaces.
• Coordinate with OEM technical support and specialist vendors for complex system issues.
• Verify installation details align with approved design and OEM requirements prior to testing.
• Support system-specific testing, pre-commissioning, FAT, SAT, and integrated testing.
• Coordinate technical interface testing between ELV/ICT systems and other project platforms as applicable.
• Review API/SDK, protocol, gateway, and communication requirements for systems needing software or platform integration.
• Maintain technical issue logs, root-cause analyses, corrective-action records, and configuration information.
• Support commissioning teams in resolving punch-list items and failed test cases.
• Verify the completeness of test reports, calibration records, configuration backups, and final technical documentation.
• Provide technical input to procurement regarding equipment equivalency, accessories, compatibility, and integration requirements.
• Support handover by verifying installed systems match approved documentation and final configuration.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a relevant technical support or engineering role.
• Demonstrated ability to provide technical support across various project lifecycle stages.
• Experience with ELV/ICT systems and related technical documentation.

This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
