About the Company and Role

Nathan HR is seeking a Trade & Commercial Operations Specialist for a contract position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role supports a biopharmaceutical client headquartered in the USA, which focuses on researching and developing antiviral drugs for conditions such as HIV/AIDS, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, influenza, and COVID-19.

Role Overview

The Trade & Commercial Operations Specialist will support the Trade and Commercial Operations for the client's Middle East business. Key responsibilities include executing Trade Operations and Supply Chain activities to ensure timely order scheduling, routing, and delivery, as well as managing tendering and quotation submissions. The specialist will also provide operational and administrative support to the Senior Director and the wider Commercial Operations team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Supply & Demand Planning activities, including data recording and tracking.
  • Manage inventory levels and support Inventory Management processes.
  • Oversee the Purchase Order (PO) to invoice lifecycle, including raising, amending, and tracking POs with distributors, and resolving logistics deviations.
  • Set up and maintain prices and master data.
  • Perform deep-dive analysis of information and data to support Trade Operations.
  • Escalate process or product deviations to the Trade Operations Senior Manager for timely corrective action.
  • Record deviations from standard processes in the designated tracker.
  • Drive Operational Excellence and process improvement initiatives across Trade Operations.
  • Ensure timely submission of all Requests for Quotation (RFQs).
  • Manage tender submissions end-to-end and track tender performance.
  • Support and coordinate activities for the Senior Director, Commercial Operations, including POs, invoicing, and budget reconciliation.
  • Provide administrative and organizational support to the Senior Director, including travel arrangements and presentation preparation.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Prior experience in supply chain, trade operations, or operations support is an advantage.
  • Solid computer skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially when managing high transaction volumes and tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong customer service orientation in supply planning.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills to support governance, audit, and archiving requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and manage stakeholders effectively.
