About the Role

Amazon is seeking a Value Added Services (VAS) Specialist to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to maintaining strong relationships with last-mile delivery partners, ensuring the efficient implementation of delivery processes, and resolving operational issues. The primary objective is to cultivate successful, long-term partnerships that support Amazon's logistics operations.

Strategic Partner Engagement

The VAS Specialist is responsible for overseeing a suite of value-added services, including legal support, insurance offers, and uniforms. This involves ensuring these services effectively meet the needs of both internal Amazon customers and external Delivery Service Providers (DSPs) within the last-mile delivery network. The role requires a proactive approach to negotiating services on behalf of partners to enhance their operational success, introducing new service offerings, and continuously evaluating existing processes for improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with last-mile delivery partners.
• Facilitate the implementation of efficient delivery processes and resolve encountered issues.
• Ensure value-added services (legal, insurance, uniforms) align with the demands of internal Amazon customers and DSPs.
• Negotiate service agreements to benefit partners and enhance their operational success.
• Introduce new value-added services and challenge the status quo to drive continuous improvement.
• Manage all aspects of partner relationships, from contract establishment to performance tracking.
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support business priorities.

Daily Operations and Site Involvement

The role is based at DRY3 and involves regular visits to various sites and stores. This on-site presence is crucial for gaining visibility into the delivery process and providing direct guidance to logistics partners. Daily activities include building dashboards, conducting deep analytical dives into performance data, and developing strategic solutions to operational challenges.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2-5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated ability to build and manage professional relationships.
• Experience in negotiating contracts and services.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to build dashboards and conduct data analysis.
• Proficiency in developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures.

About the Team

The Value Added Services Specialist will be part of the Amazon Logistics (AMZL) team, which is responsible for managing 'last mile' delivery operations. The team collaborates with third-party distribution businesses, leveraging creative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to deliver millions of products to customers.
