About the Role

Talent Blueprint FZ LLC is seeking a Venue Planning Architect to join a significant international sporting event project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is central to the planning, development, and management of venue layouts, operational strategies, spatial coordination, and technical documentation for various tournament venues. The successful candidate will collaborate with operations, infrastructure, security, transport, accreditation, and venue management teams to translate operational requirements into practical venue solutions.

This opportunity is suited for architects interested in large-scale events, with a focus extending beyond traditional building design to encompass stadiums, public venues, crowd management, and operational planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed venue layouts, zoning plans, circulation strategies, and operational drawings for optimal functionality and flow.
• Translate diverse operational requirements from stakeholders into effective spatial designs aligned with project objectives.
• Review existing venue plans to identify and implement improvements in space utilization, accessibility, and user experience.
• Coordinate necessary venue modifications and the integration of temporary infrastructure to support event needs.
• Liaise with venue operations, security, accreditation, transport, workforce, medical, commercial, and broadcast teams to integrate their requirements into venue plans.
• Ensure all venue plans adhere to established operational, safety, and accessibility standards.
• Participate in venue planning workshops, design reviews, and readiness exercises.
• Produce and manage all technical drawings, plans, and venue documentation.
• Maintain accurate drawing registers, revision histories, and version control for project documentation.
• Coordinate with external consultants, contractors, venue owners, and internal teams on design updates and operational changes.
• Ensure consistency and quality across all venue plans and associated documentation.
• Support venue preparation and operational readiness activities leading up to the event.
• Assist in detailed planning for crowd movement, access control, workforce circulation, and temporary facility deployment.
• Provide planning support during test events and operational periods.
• Coordinate and implement updates to venue plans throughout project delivery phases.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Urban Design, Spatial Planning, Interior Architecture, or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 4 to 8 years of professional experience in architecture, venue planning, master planning, event infrastructure, public realm projects, stadiums, airports, transport hubs, or other large-scale developments.
• Demonstrated experience in preparing technical drawings and coordinating with multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• A strong understanding of spatial planning principles, circulation dynamics, accessibility requirements, and user flow optimization.
• The ability to deliver effectively in fast-paced, deadline-driven project environments.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD for technical drawing and design.
• Experience with design software such as Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, or Rhino is desirable.
• Familiarity with GIS platforms is advantageous.
• Excellent technical drawing and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong capabilities in spatial planning, understanding circulation patterns, ensuring accessibility, and optimizing user flow.

Work Environment and Contract Details

This is a contract position with Talent Blueprint FZ LLC, located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The contract duration is from ASAP until March 2027.
