Verification and Validation Engineer

About the Role

Airbus Defence and Space Saudi Limited is seeking a Verification and Validation Engineer for a contract position based in Riyadh. This role reports to the Chief Engineer and the Head of Engineering, contributing to the system verification and validation of a large security system both during and after its deployment. The position also involves supporting the customer acceptance process.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform verification and validation activities at the system level for system and customer releases, including dedicated test campaigns such as load, stress, and performance tests.
• Play an active role in verification within development teams and drive the verification and release of software releases or features.
• Support test campaigns for customer acceptance events.
• Prepare test documentation, including test procedures, problem reports, and test reports, during test campaigns and conduct reviews for this documentation.
• Report problems, including the collection of material to support root-cause analysis.
• Track bugs and perform retesting of fixed issues, collaborating closely with the involved development team.
• Act as a self-sustained individual, a team player, and a team lead.

Required Experience and Skills

• 2-5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience working within a team of V&V Engineers.
• Proficiency in using various tools and methods for V&V tasks, such as DOORS, Jira, and Quality Center.
• Ability to support other V&V engineers in extending domain knowledge.

Work Environment and Travel

The role is based in Riyadh and requires frequent travel to various locations within Saudi Arabia. Occasional international travel is also expected. This position is offered on a contract basis.
