Waiter (Saudi Only)

About the Role

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Waiter (Saudi Only) to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves providing exceptional food and beverage service to guests, ensuring a high standard of dining experience. The role requires 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests.
• Set tables according to event type and service standards.
• Answer guest questions regarding menu selections.
• Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu inquiries, wait times, re-cook orders, and product availability.
• Relay additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
• Record transactions in the MICROS system at the time of order.
• Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, and glassware throughout the day.
• Complete closing duties, including restocking items and turning off lights.
• Present accurate checks to guests and process payments.

Operational and Safety Compliance

• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.

Guest Service and Team Collaboration

• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs, including assisting individuals with disabilities.
• Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Communicate with colleagues using clear and professional language.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
• Support the team to achieve common goals and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements and Qualifications

• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats (*, small print).
• Capability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance, and objects in excess of 50 pounds with assistance.
• Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
• Capability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• High school diploma or * equivalent is preferred.
• At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
• No supervisory experience is required for this role.
