The Role: Accounting Clerk, Accounts Receivable

Grand Hyatt The Red Sea is seeking an Accounting Clerk, Accounts Receivable to join its Accounting Department in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all Accounts Receivable functions within the hotel's financial framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a summary of the aging report as required by the Accounting and Control division for monthly reporting.
• Furnish Sales and Marketing employees and Heads of Department with information necessary for customer management.
• Process all charges and credits to City Ledger in a timely manner.
• Maintain full understanding and adherence to the credit policy and procedures.
• Ensure that all transfers to City Ledger, processed by Night and Income Auditors, reconcile with the control account.
• Prepare and forward City Ledger adjustments to the Director of Finance for review and signature before inputting them through the Sales Ledger or posting by the Front Office Clerk-Cashier.
• Verify the accuracy of all charges and credits posted to individual accounts.
• Process invoices/folios promptly and issue interim and monthly statements, along with follow-up letters, on a timely basis.
• Ensure that the posting of invoices and settlements is up-to-date and that payments are correctly aged.
• Record returned checks in the City Ledger, reconcile unapplied credit balances, and clear minimal variances in payments at the time of receipt.
• Reconcile accounts receivable trial balances and General Ledger control accounts each month to ensure accurate aging.
• Monitor and maintain support for all advance deposits, balancing them to the general ledger at month-end.
• Maintain an up-to-date alphabetical open accounts file for joint use by Accounts Receivable and the Director of Finance.
• Confirm that room rate charges to travel agents/charters are in accordance with contractual agreements.
• Ensure that group billings are completed as per contract.
• Initiate payment of travel agent commissions based on verified computer reports.
• Direct subordinates to ensure productivity meets standards outlined in the Hyatt Design Standards and Criteria and the Hyatt International Finance Operations Manual.

Experience Requirements

• Candidates should possess 0-1 years of relevant experience in accounting or a related financial role.
