About BAE Systems Saudi Arabia

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor, operating under Government-to-Government arrangements to provide equipment, support, and training to Saudi Arabia. The company is responsible for the maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and for training RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel in the safe use of aircraft, equipment, and weapons. The Role of Aircraft Avionics Technician

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is seeking an Aircraft Avionics Technician for a full-time position in Tabuk. This role is responsible for the inspection, operation, maintenance, and repair of avionic systems and components on Hawk aircraft and associated support equipment. The technician will contribute to ensuring effective maintenance support to meet RSAF requirements and contractual operational commitments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to RSAF Policies and procedures, M&CA Mandates, and the Rects Maintenance Manager's directives.
  • Identify, debrief, and rectify aircraft faults, and contribute to aircraft maintenance scheduling.
  • Maintain competency and ensure SQEP levels are within mandated limits.
  • Support the Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) to deliver serviceable aircraft for operational and flying commitments.
  • Train technicians and maintain a strong safety culture during fault finding, repair, and delivery of serviceable assets.
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information to Line Managers to achieve the ETIC schedule and resolve maintenance issues.
  • Manage repairable components within the supply repair channel and ensure efficient supply discipline.
  • Ensure procedural compliance for Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) calibration, Support Equipment maintenance, and the Tool Control system.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • A recognised qualification to NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC level in a relevant technical discipline, or a technical apprenticeship, or an equivalent technical qualification acceptable to M&CA.
  • Relevant type training ('Q' Course) and equipment-specific training, if required.
  • Alternatively, a current or lapsed Part 66 license, or an equivalent technical license acceptable to M&CA.
  • Ability to work effectively in a mixed workforce (Expatriate/Saudi National).
  • Demonstrated sound oral and written two-way communication skills, with tact, discretion, and confidence in dealing with individuals at all levels.
  • A quality-minded, mature individual who adopts a positive and proactive approach to aircraft maintenance and support issues.

Additional Requirements

The successful candidate, whether Saudi or Expatriate, must obtain Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) membership at the appropriate level prior to commencing employment in KSA or starting the new role. SCE membership must be maintained throughout the employment period in this role. This position offers a competitive salary.
