About the ARCS Technician Role

Acwa China is seeking a dedicated ARCS Technician to join our team in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of proven experience in the installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of access control, radio communication, and security systems. The role is critical in ensuring the operational efficiency and compliance of essential infrastructure.

Role Overview

The ARCS Technician is responsible for the comprehensive management of Access Control Systems (ARCS) and related security infrastructure. This includes performing both preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting system faults, and ensuring all installations and repairs meet stringent company standards and client requirements. The technician plays a vital role in maintaining system uptime and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain access control, CCTV, intrusion alarm, and communication systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on ARCS equipment and associated hardware.
• Troubleshoot system faults and carry out repairs to minimize downtime.
• Conduct system testing, commissioning, and performance verification.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and installation manuals.
• Ensure all installations comply with safety regulations, industry standards, and project specifications.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, and documentation.
• Support system upgrades, modifications, and expansions as required.
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and clients during installation and maintenance activities.
• Respond to emergency service calls and technical issues when required.
• Inspect equipment and identify potential operational problems before failures occur.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, testing devices, and company equipment.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience of 5-10 years in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of access control systems, radio communication equipment, and security systems.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret technical documentation, including drawings and schematics.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and industry standards relevant to ARCS installations.
• Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing and repairing system faults.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This role involves working in diverse environments, including indoors and outdoors at client sites, construction projects, industrial facilities, and company locations. Travel between project sites may be required. The position may also necessitate occasional after-hours, weekend, or emergency support. Candidates must have the ability to lift and carry technical equipment and tools, work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions when necessary. The role requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods.
