Job Description

About the Role

Parsons Corporation is seeking an innovative and highly technical BIM Design Engineer to join our team in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves leading the production, coordination, and validation of intelligent 3D models for major infrastructure assets. The role requires bridging the gap between design and construction execution by leveraging advanced Building Information Modeling (BIM) frameworks to ensure clash-free, data-rich models that enhance project delivery and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Author, modify, and manage high-quality multi-disciplinary 3D models from conceptual design through to As-Built stages, ensuring compliance with project BIM execution plans (BEP).
  • Lead federation processes and conduct clash-detection workshops using coordination tools to resolve design conflicts.
  • Audit incoming model data from sub-contractors to enforce strict Level of Development (LOD 300 to 500) parameters, data geometry, and metadata standards.
  • Perform engineering calculations, prepare detailed layouts, and extract shop drawings, schedules, and quantity take-offs from the BIM model.
  • Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and client representatives to facilitate the integration of BIM data into Asset Management and digital twin frameworks.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 7 years of dedicated experience in engineering design and BIM implementation on complex infrastructure or mega-scale building projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline from an accredited university.
  • Professional certification in BIM Management or coordination is highly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in industry-standard software, including Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, Civil 3D, and BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud.
  • Familiarity with ISO 19650 standards and parametric modeling tools (*, Dynamo or Python) is advantageous.
  • Direct experience working within the BIM delivery requirements of KSA giga-projects (such as NEOM, Trojena, Oxagon, or Red Sea Global) is heavily preferred.

Required Skills and Attributes

  • Strong technical English communication and interpersonal skills are mandatory.
  • Ability to drive cross-functional alignment across architecture, engineering, and construction teams.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time position requiring relocation to and work within the Tabuk region of Saudi Arabia.
