This full-time position is based in Tabuk, specifically within the Umluj area of The Red Sea, and is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience. The InterContinental The Red Sea Resort is part of a luxury tourism development, offering guests a unique experience amidst an archipelago of over 90 pristine islands.

Role Purpose and Departmental Support

The Engineering Storekeeper plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the engineering department. This position involves managing the daily office work and providing essential support to help the department achieve its strategic goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining organized inventory and facilitating procurement processes for engineering materials and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations within the engineering department, ensuring office work is maintained effectively.
• Receive incoming engineering materials, supplies, and equipment, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders or specifications.
• Organize and maintain inventory levels to ensure adequate stock for ongoing engineering projects and maintenance.
• Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile any discrepancies.
• Implement inventory control measures to minimize loss, damage, or theft.
• Properly store engineering materials and equipment to prevent damage or deterioration.
• Record all transactions accurately using inventory management software or manual systems.
• Prepare documentation for procurement activities, including requisitions, purchase orders, and invoices.
• Write general store requisition forms and obtain necessary approvals.
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and vendors.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times.
• Uphold InterContinental’s guidelines and service standards, consistently meeting or exceeding performance expectations.
• Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for the Engineering Storekeeper role should possess 0-1 years of relevant experience and demonstrate a foundational understanding of storekeeping and procurement principles. Key areas of focus for this role include procurement, store management, organization, and teamwork within an engineering context.

• Proficiency in MS Office systems and procurement software.
• Ability to operate a personal computer and spreadsheet applications.
