About the Role

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is seeking an Egress Technician Supervisor to join its team in Taif. This full-time role involves deputizing for a senior employee within the Typhoon Maintenance Organisation, focusing on the Egress Shop, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. The supervisor will also hold company line management responsibilities, including providing functional direction, guidance, and ensuring the welfare, health, safety, and discipline of all employees under their control. The primary objective is to ensure the effective delivery of all activities specified in the shop component repair plan, supporting the Salam Project's success against contracted Operational Readiness (OR) and Key Performance Measurements (KPM).

Key Responsibilities

  • Uphold a safety-first approach, implementing safety measures and guidelines to protect personnel, product, and operations, while promoting Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) and Product Safety & Environment (PS&E).
  • Ensure adherence to BAE Systems Operational Framework, Life Cycle Management (LCM) practices, Maintenance & Continuing Airworthiness (M&CA) Mandates, Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE), and Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) Logistics Management Regulations (LMR).
  • Enhance customer satisfaction by supporting maintenance, airworthiness, safety, and continual improvement, including developing new processes and procedures.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement (CI) throughout the maintenance organization, encouraging innovative ideas and initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Main Duties

  • Review maintenance practices, identify potential improvements, and raise any malpractice affecting airworthiness or safety to the Senior Maintenance Manager.
  • Ensure necessary manpower and facilities are available for contractual obligations and monitor personnel standards for negative trends or deficiencies.
  • Accountable for the development reports of all personnel under direct and indirect line management.
  • Provide a professional working environment, ensuring clear understanding of acceptable behavior according to the company’s Code of Conduct.
  • Conduct consolidation and counterpart development activities for RSAF and BAE Systems personnel.
  • Ensure tasks are completed within designated timeframes to support Forward Maintenance and SMU activities.
  • Maintain operational readiness of shop equipment, ensuring correct tooling, approved data, and necessary calibrations.
  • Report deficiencies in approved data and ensure all personnel undertaking maintenance are authorized.
  • Report and monitor equipment and infrastructure damage or deficiencies using appropriate media.
  • Maintain anti-FOD surveillance, report potential hazards, and conduct regular oversight checks.
  • Ensure maintenance tasks meet quality standards, accurately record work on the airworthiness tool (ESS), and conduct oversight checks for shop husbandry.
  • Assist in updating the TTP131 spreadsheet and ensure daily shop status is updated for reporting.
  • Maintain competency currency for Martin Baker seat and canopy component authorizations and hold 2nd Signature responsibilities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience working with ESS.
  • The successful candidate, whether Saudi or Expatriate, must obtain and maintain Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) membership at the appropriate level prior to commencing employment in KSA.
