Egress Technician Supervisor

About the Role

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is seeking an Egress Technician Supervisor to join their team in Taif. This full-time role involves deputizing for a senior employee within the Typhoon Maintenance Organisation, focusing on the Egress Shop, compliance, and continuous improvement. The supervisor will also hold line management responsibilities, providing functional direction, guidance, and ensuring the welfare, health, safety, and discipline of all employees under their control.

Role Objective and Responsibilities

The primary objective is to ensure the effective delivery of all activities outlined in the shop component repair plan, supporting the Salam Project's success against contracted Operational Readiness (OR) and Key Performance Measurements (KPM). This role requires a commitment to safety, compliance, customer support, and continuous improvement.

• Uphold a safety-first approach, implementing safety measures and guidelines to protect personnel, product, and operations, while promoting Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) and Product Safety & Environment (PS&E).
• Ensure adherence to BAE Systems Operational Framework, Life Cycle Management (LCM) practices, Maintenance & Continuing Airworthiness (M&CA) Mandates, Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE), and Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) Logistics Management Regulations (LMR).
• Enhance customer satisfaction by supporting maintenance, airworthiness, safety, and continual improvement, identifying opportunities to improve the customer experience and grow the maintenance organization.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement (CI) throughout the maintenance organization, encouraging innovative ideas and initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Undertake reviews of maintenance practices, identify potential improvements, and address any malpractice affecting airworthiness or safety.
• Ensure necessary manpower and facilities resources are available to meet duties and contractual obligations.
• Monitor personnel standards, provide a trusting work environment, and support the development of direct and indirect reports.
• Provide consolidation and counterpart development activities to RSAF and BAE Systems personnel.
• Ensure all tasks are completed within designated timeframes, maintain operational readiness of shop equipment, and raise appropriate media for deficiencies in approved data.
• Ensure all personnel undertaking maintenance are authorized, report equipment damage or deficiencies, and maintain anti-FOD surveillance.
• Ensure maintenance tasks meet the highest quality standards, including accurate recording on the airworthiness tool (ESS).
• Conduct oversight checks for shop husbandry, assist in updating planning spreadsheets, and ensure daily shop status is updated.
• Maintain competency currency for Martin Baker seat and canopy component authorizations and hold 2nd Signature responsibilities.

Qualifications and Requirements

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience for this role.

• Essential: A recognized qualification to NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC level in a relevant technical discipline, a technical apprenticeship, or an equivalent technical qualification acceptable to M&CA. Experience working with ESS is also required.
• Desirable: Broad Aerospace and defence company/industry knowledge, an understanding of BAESSA engineering operating procedures, and proven supervisory experience within the defined area.

This is a full-time position based in Taif, Saudi Arabia, within the Typhoon Maintenance Organisation at BAE Systems Saudi Arabia.
