The Role of Life Support Superintendent

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is seeking a Life Support Superintendent to ensure the smooth delivery of the Life Support function in Taif. This full-time position, reporting to the Head of Fleet Operations and Typhoon Fleet Operations Manager, requires over 10 years of experience and offers a competitive salary.

Key Accountabilities

• Define, deliver, and manage Forward Operations Life Support capabilities to support RSAF Typhoon operations across KSA.
• Ensure adherence to correct engineering practices throughout KSA.
• Collaborate with the Typhoon Operations Manager/Forward Maintenance Team Leader to manage inputs for Forward Operations Engineering and contractual statistics related to TOPR/SAG/SCAR.
• Produce regular manpower and ad-hoc organisational reports, highlighting recruitment, RSAF Consolidation, Saudisation, and other related manpower issues.
• Assist T&E and Life Support in ensuring the programmed delivery of all EIS upgrades, their embodiment, and acceptance as agreed with the RSAF customer, liaising with key business partners as necessary.
• Support UK capability delivery teams with local support, RSAF engagement, and adherence to Salam entry into service (EIS).
• Demonstrate a detailed understanding of authorisations (Auths), their control, how to gain additional Auths, and provide examples of how Auths affect an individual’s organisation. Practically express the relationship between Auths, qualifications, and maintenance tasks.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Ex-military with extensive experience serving on a high-tempo operational military flying unit, working with Flight Operations.
• Extensive experience at supervisory/management levels within a military aircraft maintenance environment.
• Thorough working knowledge of aircraft Life Support equipment, with Typhoon experience preferred.
• Experience working in the aviation industry in a Gulf Coast Country is preferred.
• A conscientious approach to work and meticulous attention to detail.
• A track record of meeting strict deadlines without compromising standards and quality.
• Previous experience conducting On-The-Job training.
• Detailed knowledge of the principal elements of task prioritisation.
• Extensive knowledge of tool procedures within the organisation and the ability to ensure all Life Support teams comply with these procedures.
