The Role of Senior Construction Manager

Parsons Corporation is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to join our team in Taif, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires an individual with over 10 years of experience who can apply extensive knowledge across various construction disciplines. The role is central to overseeing and directing construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and to high standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the overall planning of construction activities to identify critical milestones and priorities.
• Determine budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule.
• Ensure the availability of subcontractor services and major construction equipment at appropriate times for maximum efficiency and productivity.
• Establish assignments for Construction Superintendents across various work areas, monitoring progress and recommending corrective action as necessary.
• Conduct performance evaluations and recommend promotions and salary actions.
• Manage the assignment of manpower, materials, and equipment to maximize efficiency, maintain schedules, and meet budget goals.
• Anticipate and resolve problems such as changes in scope, schedule slippage, and budget overruns.
• Ensure critical milestones are met for each phase of the project.
• Ensure the use of sound construction practices to achieve required quality control at maximum efficiency and minimum cost.
• Prepare periodic reports summarizing construction activity progress for higher-level management and clients, including formal presentations.
• Ensure effective implementation of all Company and client policies and procedures, including labor relations policies.
• Serve as the primary contact with client representatives, subcontractors, and government representatives for construction-related activities. Maintain strong client and community relations, including making presentations to local civic organizations.
• Perform other associated responsibilities as appropriate.

Required Qualifications

• Over 10 years of experience in construction management.
• Widely diversified knowledge of construction-related processes and industry practices.
• Demonstrated effective managerial capability on construction projects of comparable scope and complexity.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Taif, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working within a dynamic project environment, collaborating with various stakeholders including clients, subcontractors, and government representatives to ensure successful project execution.
