About the Role

Raffles Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Bell Captain to join the pre-opening team at Raffles The Red Sea. This new luxury resort is located within Saudi Arabia's Red Sea Project in Umluj, Tabuk. The Bell Captain will play a key role in ensuring an exceptional guest experience from arrival to departure, upholding Raffles' standards of graciousness and personalized service. Raffles The Red Sea aims to provide a sanctuary of refined elegance and timeless luxury, combining renowned hospitality with the natural beauty and sustainability principles of Red Sea Global. The Bell Captain will lead a team to maintain high service standards, ensuring every guest interaction is warm, efficient, and memorable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee guest arrival, departure, and in-house movement experiences, ensuring warmth, efficiency, and elegance.
  • Ensure guests are greeted promptly and courteously, with proper recognition of VIPs, repeat guests, and special occasions.
  • Coordinate luggage handling, storage, and delivery with high standards of care, accuracy, and discretion.
  • Provide personal assistance to guests when required to ensure exceptional service and satisfaction.
  • Lead, coach, and supervise Bell Attendants, Doormen, and related staff to uphold Raffles service culture and etiquette standards.
  • Conduct daily briefings to communicate arrivals, departures, VIP movements, and service priorities.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels and duty allocations are maintained.
  • Provide on-the-job training, performance feedback, and support to develop team excellence.
  • Coordinate closely with Front Desk, Concierge, Guest Relations, Valet, and Security teams for seamless operations.
  • Monitor and control luggage storage areas, logbooks, and tracking systems to prevent loss or damage.
  • Ensure accurate handling of messages, deliveries, parcels, and guest requests related to Bell Services.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the porte-cochere, lobby entrances, and bell desk areas.
  • Oversee special arrangements for VIPs, groups, long-stay guests, and special events.
  • Ensure timely and accurate handling of group luggage movements and rooming lists.
  • Support service recovery efforts by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Uphold Raffles grooming, etiquette, and communication standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, security, and luggage handling procedures.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding guest movements and information.
  • Ensure equipment (trolleys, radios, luggage carts) is well-maintained and used correctly.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Bell Services or Front Office within a luxury or five-star hotel environment.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience is required.
  • Experience in the pre-opening stages of a hotel is essential.
  • Understanding of ultra-luxury guest expectations and brand alignment.
  • Experience in project coordination, scheduling, and document control during pre-opening stages.
