About the Role

Acwa China is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team in Umluj, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves planning and supervising all preventive and corrective maintenance, monthly/annual outage, and overhauling work activities on the plant's electrical equipment. The Electrical Engineer will report directly to the Section Head and play a crucial role in maintaining operational efficiency and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise all preventive and corrective maintenance, monthly/annual outage, and overhauling work on plant electrical equipment.
• Assign preventive and corrective maintenance jobs as directed by the Section Head.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance staff, ensuring efficient task execution.
• Maintain comprehensive records, prepare detailed reports, and compose correspondence related to work activities.
• Execute work orders through the CMMS (SAP) and coordinate with planning engineers for job completion and technical matters.
• Maintain necessary communications and relations to report on the status of matters requiring action and ensure corrective measures are undertaken.
• Assist the Maintenance Manager in executing corrective and planned maintenance in accordance with the annual scheduled maintenance plan.
• Perform technical evaluation of quotations received from the purchase department and recommend appropriate choices.
• Prepare purchase requisitions for spare parts and consumables, ensuring budgetary constraints and strategic spares availability.
• Review and recommend new maintenance procedures and work instructions to enhance operational effectiveness.

Team Leadership and Development

• Supervise, direct, and coordinate the activities of all personnel assigned to their area.
• Identify competency gaps for subordinate personnel and implement necessary development actions.
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees and evaluate their OJT performance.
• Carry out annual performance evaluations of reporting employees.

Integrated Management System and Compliance

• Ensure Environmental Aspect-Impact and Hazard Risk Assessments are carried out, controlled, and updated.
• Implement, monitor, and report on Integrated Management System (IMS) objectives, targets, and programs.
• Provide necessary resources for the effective implementation and sustenance of the IMS.
• Report IMS performance to management periodically and ensure legal compliance within the scope of activities.
• Ensure identification of root causes for non-conformances/deviations and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Identify, document, and control hazards in the assigned work area, ensuring identified aspects are monitored and operational controls are followed.
• Report emergencies, incidents, and near misses.
• Ensure compliance with legal, contractual, and organizational requirements.
• Ensure effective resource utilization across all activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably within an industrial plant environment.
• Proficiency in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), specifically SAP.
• Demonstrated understanding of environmental, health, and safety standards and integrated management systems.
