Process Operator

About the Role

Durrah Advanced Development is seeking a Process Operator to join their team in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position requiring 2-5 years of experience. The Process Operator will be responsible for operating assigned equipment and areas within a state-of-the-art sugar refinery, performing operations-related activities in accordance with established work processes.

Role Overview

The incumbent will apply chemical manufacturing knowledge and experience to operate and troubleshoot plant systems safely and efficiently. This role operates within a team environment where individuals are expected to prioritize tasks and complete work activities with minimal supervision, ensuring operational activities align with plant and business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to Operating Discipline principles, procedures, and practices to ensure safe and efficient operation of assigned plant areas.
• Operate Pans, evaporation, and Centrifugals from the Distributed Control System (DCS) and field.
• Operate and perform field checks on process equipment.
• Monitor process conditions, equipment, and control systems.
• Execute tasks assigned to operations as per standard task lists, including field checks, equipment preparation, and sample collection.
• Utilize troubleshooting skills to resolve process-related deviations and problems, and maintain equipment reliability.
• Initiate and participate in Root Cause Investigations as required.
• Perform immediate response activities and manage unplanned events effectively.
• Apply process knowledge and skills to implement improvements in plant performance and Operating Discipline.
• Use measurements and tools to operate the plant at optimum conditions.
• Perform process equipment troubleshooting, minor repairs, improvements, and preventative maintenance, adhering to appropriate processes and disciplines.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-8 years of experience in a relevant operational role.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in chemical manufacturing operations.

Work Environment

This role is based in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia, within a state-of-the-art sugar refinery. The position requires working in a collaborative team environment, often with minimal supervision, to ensure the safe and efficient operation of plant areas.
