About the Role

The Royal Commission Medical Center Yanbu is seeking a Staff Nurse - III for the Male Medical Ward. This is a full-time position located in Yanbu, requiring 0-1 years of experience. The Staff Nurse will be responsible for providing holistic basic and bedside patient care, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures, and contributing to a positive healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to and promote the organization's values, mission, ethics, hospital goals, customer service, safety, and compliance standards.
  • Monitor compliance with legislative requirements and organizational policies, taking action to correct non-compliance.
  • Attend and actively participate in assigned committee meetings, departmental meetings (75% attendance required), annual reviews, and annual departmental competencies.
  • Demonstrate ongoing continuous education and maintain RCMC annual competencies.
  • Prepare reports as required and adhere to the RCMC dress code and identification policy.
  • Maintain organizational confidentiality and adhere to the chain of command.
  • Perform holistic basic and bedside patient care, including vital signs, medication administration, wound care, and assisting with daily living activities.
  • Observe and participate in clinical procedures, treatments, and interventions.
  • Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients and families, providing emotional support and education.
  • Assist in patient assessment, gather health history, and report changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including nursing assessments, care plans, and progress notes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and safety.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and response to therapy, intervening promptly as needed.
  • Provide individualized patient/family education and document all aspects of patient care accurately in the EMR system.
  • Practice infection control methods and protocols, and initiate emergency resuscitative measures according to protocols.

Administrative and Professional Conduct

  • Follow and assist in the implementation and interpretation of RCMC policies and procedures, reviewing the IPPs manual annually.
  • Maintain a good rapport and cooperative working relationship with physicians and staff.
  • Maintain regulatory requirements, including national and JCI regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures regarding department operations, fire, safety, and infection control.
  • Report any negative, abnormal, or unexpected event/incident by filling the Electronic Occurrence Variance Report (EOVR).
  • Integrate trans-cultural principles into nursing care, providing care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner.

Patient Assessment and Care Delivery

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments upon admission, gathering information on medical history, current condition, and treatment goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient needs and evidence-based practices under supervision.
  • Monitor patient responses to interventions and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to adjust care plans.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 0-1 years of experience in a relevant nursing field.
  • Knowledge of clinical aspects related to the medical ward.
  • Ability to apply basic nursing procedures effectively.
  • Strong communication and empathetic skills with patients and families.
  • Understanding of confidentiality and privacy in handling patient information.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous education.
  • Excellent attendance record.
